Create your perfect Cowboy Hat
Create your perfect Cowboy Hat

Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s Disability Charity, is back for May with a unique craft offering.
This month the charity will be hosting a Cowboy Hat Workshop, offering the opportunity to create your own perfect cowboy hat to see you through all occasions this summer.
There will be trusty craft leaders on hand to guide you through the process of customising your hat with various haberdashery, trinkets, and accessories. As well as the option to brand letters or embroider a design.
The event will be held on Wednesday 7 May at The Treehouse, the charities children’s hub in Hurn (The Treehouse, Merritown Lane, Christchurch, BH23 6DT), and raises money to support children and adults with physical and learning disabilities across the Dorset area.
Demi Tarrant, events executive at Diverse Abilities commented: “We can’t wait to get creative, and design some really unique cowboy hats. They are the perfect accessory for summer festivals and events, and would be fantastic for our Country Roots event in June.”
The event is part of an ongoing Craft Club, with future events including:
Pottery Painting – Tuesday 10 June
Watercolour Workshop – Tuesday 15 July
The charity’s Country Roots event takes place on Friday 6 June, and is an evening of all things country, with live music, line dancing and fantastic food and drink.
