Waterside Holiday Group rounds off 2021 with £8,000 donation to Weldmar Hospicecare

Waterside Holiday Group has raised more than £8,000 for local charity, Weldmar Hospicecare following various fundraising efforts over the past year.

Donations have been collected at each of the company’s Dorset holiday parks during various owner and guest events throughout 2021. A dedicated fundraising drive also took part earlier this year as staff took part in a 24-mile trek from the Golden Cap to Waterside Holiday Group’s Chesil Vista Holiday Park.

Waterside’s Group General Manager Allen Main commented: “Weldmar Hospicecare is a hugely respected charity in Dorset, and we’re pleased to have played a part in helping them continue their fantastic work in our community. We wouldn’t have been able to raise the sum we did without the hard work of our employees and generosity of our guests and owners, so we’d like to thank everyone for their efforts this year.”

Waterside Holiday Group has been supporting Weldmar Hospicecare for the past three years across its Dorset-based parks: Waterside Holiday Park & Spa, Chesil Vista, and Osmington.

Weldmar Hospicecare provides free, specialist end of life care to the local community, with a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, therapists, social workers, and counsellors. For further information about the charity, visit https://www.weld-hospice.org.uk/.
