Inspirational speakers doubled up for a leadership themed business breakfast held by Ellis Jones Solicitors for young professionals.

Lauren Day and Charlotte Day-Lewin – twin sisters – gave the keynote presentation at the Rise & Shine event in Bournemouth.

It was the first anniversary of the launch of the networking group by Dorset law firm Ellis Jones and the opening meeting of 2023.

Lauren is a Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at Ellis Jones while Charlotte is the founder of twin London, a boutique consultancy for premium brands.

Young professionals from different types of businesses heard about ways to climb the career ladder and the qualities required to become a successful leader.

Lauren said: “It was a great event with which to start the year and mark the first anniversary of Rise & Shine.

“I hope our focus on leadership inspired many of Rise & Shine’s ambitious young professionals to set their sights on future managerial or director positions as well as give them an insight into how to achieve their aims.

“Rise & Shine has proved a tremendous success since its launch as a forum for the next generation to meet like-minded young people, network and provide mutual support on their career journeys.”

Charlotte said: “Naturally as twins Lauren and I are similar in many ways but we were also able to draw out our personal experiences and give our own unique perspectives on leadership.

“It was encouraging to meet such aspirational, talented and passionate young professionals at the breakfast, and I look forward to seeing some of them in senior positions very soon.”

Rise & Shine – held at the Flamingo in Winton, Bournemouth – is organised by Senior Associate Solicitor Henrietta Frew, Associate Solicitor Maria Evans, Solicitor Georgia McWilliam and Solicitor Rebecca Bennett.

The next Rise & Shine breakfast club is on Thursday April 27 at 7.45am at Flamingo. The focus will be on ‘Lessons Learnt in Business’ with Warren Munson from Evolve.
