SOUTHERN CONTRACTS GO SOUTH

One of the UK’s leading providers of laundry, kitchen, galley and cleaning appliances, Southern Contracts, went south last week.

Adam and Hugh Elphinstone, both directors of the Bournemouth based, 3rd generation family business, were happy to embark on a road trip to Cornwall and meet with one of their Top 10 clients.

A&P, based in Falmouth, are the largest commercial ship repair and conversion specialist in the UK. With three sites across the country, they have earned an enviable reputation for delivering engineering strength across the commercial marine, major fabrication and defence sectors.

Hugh said: “We were delighted to take the trip to meet with A&P to strengthen our long standing relationship with them and assist in their requirements for new galley and laundry provision onboard their RFA vessels, when they are next in dry dock. We’ve previously provided equipment to them for their own installation but will now also be responsible for installation and maintenance plans too.“

The first two ships that Southern Contracts will be supplying and fitting the galley and laundry equipment to, are the RFA Tiderace and RFA Tideforce, due to take place in the new year.

”The refit is scheduled to take about 6 weeks to complete,” Hugh added.
