Run a colourful 2-miles for Diverse Abilities

Get your colourful outfits at the ready, limber up, and take on the Colour Fest 2 Mile Fun Run for Diverse Abilities in the spectacular setting of St. Giles House in Wimborne on Sunday, April 28.

The flat multi-terrain route is great for all the family, and will take you through the iconic grounds of St. Giles House. The route passes the house before rounding the Estate Lake teeming with wildlife as nature comes to life in the spring. A woodland trail leads you to a tarmac road section before entering the tree lined finished. After the race, enjoy live music, great food and cheer on runners taking on different races throughout the day.

By taking part in the run, you will be raising money for Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, supporting more than 1,600 children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities across Dorset. The charity’s services include Langside School, Supported Living, The Beehive Centre and an Advice Team.

Mariana Swain, events executive at Diverse Abilities, commented: “We are really looking forward to hosting our first Colour Fest 2 Mile Fun Run as part of the UK Trail Running Festival. It’s a great opportunity to get your family or a group of friends together to take part in a fun run through the beautiful Dorset countryside.”

Runners who want to take on a greater distance can choose to run a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, Junior 1k and Junior 200m as part of the UK Trail Running Festival which all take place on the same day.
