Keen walkers and explorers are invited to join Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, and take on the Jurassic Coast Challenge over May 14 and 15.
The Jurassic Coast Challenge features a number of distances for participants of all experience levels and ages to choose from over the weekend, from a 25-kilometre loop around Corfe Castle, to a continuous 100-kilometre trek finishing in Bridport.
Lucy Rowley, events co-ordinator at Diverse Abilities, commented: “We’re really excited to be part of this challenge. We’re all lucky to live in such a fantastic part of the world, but often don’t take the chance to properly explore it. Distances available to choose from include:
Claire, who is taking part in the continuous 100-kilometre challenge, added: “I took part in a similar event in 2018 with my work colleagues, and enjoyed it so much that I decided to do it again as part of my 30th birthday celebrations this year. I’m looking forward to raising as much as possible for such a wonderful cause.”
Participants can benefit from 25 per cent off registration fees and a free technical t-shirt until Thursday, March 31 with the code SPRINGCHARITY22. Entries include free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support including medics, marshals and massage, alongside a glass of fizz and a medal at the finish line.
