Regional law firm Ellis Jones Solicitors has backed the Dorchester Business Awards to help celebrate success in the county town.

Entries have closed for the annual contest and judges are now picking winners in 12 categories ahead of the presentation ceremony on Thursday April 3.

Ellis Jones, which has an office in Somerleigh Road, off Princes Street, is among the sponsors of the town’s leading business awards competition.

Its Dorchester office is led by county town resident Chris Pemberton, who is a partner in wills, trusts & probate, with a dedicated team of staff.

Managing partner Nigel has returned to his place of birth with the firm’s new office in Dorchester – quite literally.

He was born in the maternity unit at the former Dorset County Hospital in Somerleigh Road before the hospital relocated and its building were converted into homes and offices – including one now occupied by Ellis Jones.
