Aruba, Bournemouth’s only beachside nightlife destination, has hired Aaron Sinkia as General Manager to lead the venue’s premium events and entertainments line up as the it undertakes a transformation to becoming the UK’s best seaside entertainment destination.
Aaron joins the Aruba team from one of London’s biggest nightclubs, Café de Paris, and brings over 10 years’ experience in managing and operating popular city-based venues.
Café De Paris is London’s original show club and is renowned for its glamourous cabaret and eccentric entertainment line-up. Aaron is tasked with bringing the glitz and glamour of London-based nightclubs to Bournemouth Beach.
Aaron said: “Aruba is an idyllic beachside location with incredible potential to be one of the most in-demand night-time destination in the south. We’re re-opening on Thursday 20th May with a real bang and an events line-up that will blow our guests away.
“The venue is undergoing refurbishments and adjustments to cater for new entertainment spaces including new aerial equipment for silks and trapeze performances! In our events line-up, which runs from Thursday to Sunday, you can expect everything from musical theatre, lighting effects, world-class artistes, pool party vibes, old school ravers, fire shows, glitter, glitz and glam. It’s going to be a true spectacle right here in Bournemouth.”
Andy Price, Bournemouth restauranteur who owns Aruba and Westbeach further along the promenade, has owned the club since 2006. Andy reinvented what was originally known as the Show Bar into a tropical beachside drinking destination and is now working with Aaron to bring electricity and excitement to Bournemouth Pier.
Andy commented: “We’re taking Aruba back to its roots, taking inspiration from the Show Bar, but this time bringing London-style entertainment to the beach. We have a highly experienced, creative team in place and I am confident that our line of events will not just put Bournemouth on the map, but will make it the best coastal destination in the UK this summer.”
Aruba reopens to guests on Monday 17th May with the first of its events, Broadway on the Beach, opening on Thursday 20th. The night will celebrate everything musical with four hours of non-stop musical theatre hits performed by Broadway and West End theatre stars.
